Let?s look at an example shall we. Rex the retailer gets 10 customers. He retails a $100 product, so his total retail is $1000 a month. He purchases the products at wholesale, at $50 dollars a product. Thus Rex the retailer makes 50% on everything he sells. Rex is so happy, he paid $500 for the products, retailed same for $1000 and made a clear profit of $500. His layout or seed money of $500 dollars has now turned into $1000 sitting in his wallet.
